Shanghai Xinzhong Power Machine Plant (CXZ) was founded in 1925, and is now a factory under Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute which is a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC).CXZ specializes in manufacturing medium-speed diesel engines and exhaust gas turbochargers. CXZ has, at present, some 800 employees, of which 282 are engines and technicians, and covers an area of 93700 square meters. With as many as 800 sets of machines, tools and instruments of all kinds, CXZ possesses complete technological equipment of casting, welding, metal plate working, heat treatment, CNC machining, precision measurement, three-dimension measuring, assembling, testing, etc. Suitable for the production of reciprocating machinery and rotary mechanism . The main products of CXZ are: L & V type 20/27 series diesel engines under license of MAN B&W Germany, CXZ is now the sole manufacturer for 20/27 series diesel engines in the world. L 16/24 series diesel engines under license of MAN B&W Germany； L 21/31 series diesel engines under license of MAN B&W Germany； L 27/38 series diesel engines under license of MAN B&W Germany； NR 15 & 20 radial turbochargers under license of MAN B&W Germany; Self-developed new LA250Z heavy fuel diesel engines; Self-developed CXZ axial turbochargers; The medium-speed diesel engines manufactured by CXZ are mainly applied in marine propulsion engines and auxiliary gensets, land stationary gensets. CXZ has been the lincensee of L & V 20/27 series diesel engines of MAN B&W Germany since 1980. About 700 engines and gensets ranging from 4L 20/27 to 12V 20/27 (296 kw - 1200 kw) have been delivered to market since then. Among which, some were exported to Romania, Sri Lanka, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Algeria, Tunisia, etc as marine gensets, some were exported to Thailand, Pakistan, Philippines, etc as land stationary gensets. CXZ has been awarded ISO 9002 Quality Certificate. Its products have been approved and certified by the world leading classification societies.
